Porcine IL-23 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine IL-23 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids.

The assay is completed in 4 hours and uses a pre-coated microtiter plate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where IL-23 binds to an immobilized capture antibody. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for IL-23 is added, forming an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich complex. After further incubation and washing, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is added, followed by TMB substrate solution. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The concentration of IL-23 is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm and comparing values to the standard curve.

The kit has a detection range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL. It is specific for IL-23 with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Recovery data show average values of 94% for serum (range 86%-104%, n=10), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 89%-101%, n=10), and 93% for heparin plasma (range 85%-104%, n=10). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 yielded ranges of 87-103%, 88-101%, and 80-98% for serum; 91-102%, 82-92%, and 80-94% for EDTA plasma; and 90-103%, 82-101%, and 87-96% for heparin plasma (n=10). The kit is shipped at +4°C and components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles and do not use past expiration date.
