Porcine Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone ELISA Kit

A competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (cELISA) kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone (GHRH) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) bearing immobilised GHRH antigen. During incubation, GHRH in samples or standards competes with the immobilised antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-GHRH antibody; after washing, an HRP–avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are added. The resulting yellow product is inversely proportional to GHRH concentration in the well. The assay has a working range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <5.78 pg/ml, and a total run time of approximately 2 h 30 min. Components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as indicated and not used past the stated expiration date.

Manufacturer validation data report recovery ranges of 80–102% for serum (n=5), 81–100% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (n=5), together with dilution linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions of each sample type.
