Porcine Glutathione Peroxidase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Glutathione Peroxidase 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Glutathione Peroxidase 1 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Glutathione Peroxidase 1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved using TMB substrate, with the reaction stopped using an acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colourmetric microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.68 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. In spiked recovery testing using undiluted samples (n=5 per matrix), average recovery was 91% (range 80-102%) for serum, 90% (range 81-100%) for EDTA plasma, and 84% (range 80-89%) for Heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2 through 1:16 generally fell within 74-108% across all three matrices. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed and used before the expiry date.
