Antibodies.com offers a competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Glucagon Like Peptide 1. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. Glucagon Like Peptide 1 in samples or standards competes with immobilized antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Glucagon Like Peptide 1 Antibody. After incubation and washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate are added, producing a blue product that turns yellow with stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm, with the density of yellow inversely proportional to Glucagon Like Peptide 1 concentration.

Reported performance includes a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 4.37 pg/ml, read on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 2h 30m. Recovery for undiluted samples is 80% - 102% for serum (n=5), 81% - 100% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80% - 89% for heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity (n=5) is reported at 87-91% (1:2), 87-107% (1:4), 74-101% (1:8), and 92-97% (1:16) for serum; 90-105% (1:2), 84-101% (1:4), 90-101% (1:8), and 79-108% (1:16) for EDTA plasma; and 84-95% (1:2), 92-105% (1:4), 82-105% (1:8), and 89-91% (1:16) for heparin plasma.
