Porcine Galectin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, the Porcine Galectin 1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Galectin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with detection performed colorimetrically by reading the optical density absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is 0.125 ng/ml, with a working range of 0.625-40 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Standards are prepared as a serial dilution from 40 ng/ml down to 0.625 ng/ml in Sample Dilution Buffer, which serves as the zero standard.

The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, cell lysates, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernates. Reported recovery averages were 91% in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). Linearity across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is documented for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97% respectively), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%).

Reagents are stored at -20°C or +4°C as instructed on individual components. The Stop Solution provided is an acid solution, and TMB Substrate is light-sensitive. Required equipment includes a microplate reader capable of measuring absorbance at 450nm ± 10nm and a 37°C incubator.
