Porcine Fibroblast Growth Factor 2, Basic ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Fibroblast Growth Factor 2, Basic (FGF2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for FGF2, and the captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-FGF2 antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Quantitation is performed by reading absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The standard range is 78.1–5000 pg/ml, with a reported sensitivity of less than 41.78 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery values have been reported for serum (range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80–89%, average 84%), and dilution linearity has been characterised for the same three sample types at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions.
