Porcine Fatty Acid Binding Protein 1, Liver ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Liver Fatty Acid Binding Protein 1 (Liver FABP) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Liver FABP, with bound protein detected using a biotinylated anti-Liver FABP antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader is proportional to Liver FABP concentration and is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.060 ng/ml, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Recovery has been validated in serum (80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%, n=5).
