Porcine Factor Related Apoptosis ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Factor Related Apoptosis (Fas) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate with antibody specific for Fas; standards and samples are added, followed by Biotinylated Anti-Fas Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative sandwich assay has a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 7.2 pg/ml. It is run on a pre-coated microplate platform (12 x 8 well strips) with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric. Recovery has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples, with average recovery of 92% in serum (range 85-99%, n=5), 92% in EDTA plasma (range 84-100%, n=5) and 93% in heparin plasma (range 86-100%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for each sample type.

Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 μl), Detection Solution B (120 μl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips).
