Porcine Defensin Beta 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Porcine beta Defensin 1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine beta Defensin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate with an antibody specific for beta Defensin 1, paired with a biotinylated anti-beta Defensin 1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. After addition of TMB substrate, the reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of beta Defensin 1 calculated against a standard curve. Sensitivity is reported as <0.60 ng/ml with an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma and tissue homogenates, with reported sample recovery values for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma spanning 74–108% across dilution factors of 1:2 to 1:16.
