Porcine Cystatin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Cystatin C in serum, plasma, urine or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for Cystatin C; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Cystatin C Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The reported assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.056 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery performance is documented for serum (range 80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, average 84%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and detection is colourimetric.
