Porcine Complement Component 5a ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Complement C5a in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Complement C5a. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Complement C5a antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The signal is developed with TMB substrate, stopped with acidic solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Colour intensity is proportional to the Complement C5a concentration, calculated against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <1.12 ng/ml, with a working range of 3.12-200 ng/ml and an assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Validation testing across five replicates gave average recoveries of 91% in serum (range 80-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81-99%), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit is sold for research use only.
