Porcine Cholecystokinin ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Cholecystokinin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids.

The kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. During incubation, Cholecystokinin in samples or standards competes with the immobilized antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Cholecystokinin Antibody. Following washing, an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added, and the enzymatic reaction is visualized with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with colour intensity inversely proportional to Cholecystokinin concentration. The quantitative measurement range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 4.88 pg/ml, and total assay time is 2h 30m.

Reported recoveries (range, average) from independent sample testing: serum n=5, 80%-102%, 91%; EDTA plasma n=5, 81%-99%, 90%; heparin plasma n=5, 80%-89%, 84%. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions was 74%-107% for serum, 79%-108% for EDTA plasma, and 82%-105% for heparin plasma.
