Porcine Cathepsin L ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Cathepsin L (also referenced as Cathepsin L/MEP) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle, in which Cathepsin L/MEP is captured by an immobilised antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-Cathepsin L/MEP antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, and visualised using TMB substrate. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a microplate reader [S1]. The reported assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml and the sensitivity is 0.132 ng/ml, with a total assay duration of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes [S1].

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with mean recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively across n=5 replicates per matrix. Dilution linearity data at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are also reported for each sample type [S1]. Components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated on the component labels, and the kit should not be used past its stated expiration date [S1]. Reactivity is specified as porcine [C0][S1].
