Porcine Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of porcine Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The format uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with a BDNF-specific capture antibody; bound analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-BDNF antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, visualised by TMB substrate and read at 450 nm.

According to the manufacturer's data, the kit has a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of 0.059 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 81-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5).

Kit components supplied include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection reagents, sample dilution buffer, wash buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
