Porcine Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4 (BMP4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The procedure uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format (12 x 8 well strips) bearing an immobilised antibody specific for BMP4. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-BMP4 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the BMP4 concentration calculated by reference to a standard curve.

The quantitative assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.067 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Detection is colorimetric and the kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
