Porcine BMP-4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Porcine BMP-4 ELISA Kit is a 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine BMP4 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm. Standards and samples bind to the immobilized capture antibody specific for BMP4; after washing, a biotinylated detection antibody is added, followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The assay is reported as specific for BMP4 with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=10 per matrix) returned averages of 93% in serum (range 86%–103%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 89%–101%) and 95% in heparin plasma (range 88%–101%). Dilution linearity (n=10) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions gave ranges of 87–103%, 88–105% and 86–103% in serum; 90–96%, 84–96% and 83–101% in EDTA plasma; and 81–97%, 88–100% and 89–98% in heparin plasma. The kit is shipped at +4°C; components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed in the Protocol Manual. The kit should not be used past its expiration date and freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
