Porcine Bcl2 Associated X Protein ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of porcine Bax in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with antibody specific for Bax, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Bax Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate detection system. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose intensity is proportional to Bax concentration, read at 450nm in a microplate reader.

The detection range is 0.625–40 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.28 ng/ml. Reported recovery ranges were 80%–102% for serum (average 91%), 81%–99% for EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80%–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilutional linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions ranged from 74%–107% depending on sample type. Total assay time is 4h 30m, using a colorimetric readout on a standard microplate reader.

The kit includes a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. The capture antibody is a rabbit IgG raised against a synthetic peptide immunogen. Store at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
