Porcine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine FGF2 (basic fibroblast growth factor) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The assay covers a quantitative range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a total run time of approximately four hours. Specificity is reported for FGF2 with no cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Spike-and-recovery validation in ten samples per matrix gave average recoveries of 97% for serum, 99% for EDTA plasma, and 92% for heparin plasma, with linear dilution behaviour preserved at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 across all three sample types.

The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C or at −20°C as instructed in the protocol manual; freeze/thaw cycles and use past the expiration date should be avoided. Reagents supplied include pre-coated strips, lyophilized standard, sample and antibody dilution buffers, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate with SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealers, and a foil zip-sealed pouch.
