Porcine Atrial Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Natriuretic Peptides A in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Natriuretic Peptides A pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and Natriuretic Peptides A present in each sample binds to the immobilized antibody. After washing, Biotinylated Anti-Natriuretic Peptides A Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Natriuretic Peptides A captured, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450nm against the standard curve [S1].

The kit is reactive with porcine samples and targets Atrial Natriuretic Peptide, supplied under the Antibodies.com brand [C0][S2]. The manufacturer's stated detection range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 9.8 pg/ml [S1]; an independent listing cites a range of 15.625-1000 pg/ml and the same 9.8 pg/ml sensitivity [S2].
