Porcine Angiopoietin 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine Angiopoietin 1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Angiopoietin 1, and uses a Biotinylated Anti-Angiopoietin 1 Antibody together with an HRP-Avidin conjugate for detection.

The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm after the addition of TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose optical density is proportional to the Angiopoietin 1 captured in each well. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported sensitivity is 0.58 ng/ml, with a product range of 1.56–100 ng/ml.

Recovery in undiluted samples averaged 95% for serum (range 89–101%, n=5), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 91–101%, n=5) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 91–101%, n=5). Linearity data are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
