Porcine aFP ELISA Kit

This 4-hour sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of porcine alpha 1 Fetoprotein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The platform relies on a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated detection antibody to form an antibody–antigen–antibody sandwich, with detection via HRP-Streptavidin and TMB substrate, read at 450 nm.

Reported performance includes a product range of 0.313–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL. The assay is specific for alpha 1 Fetoprotein with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Validated recovery in neat samples averaged 98% for serum (n=10, range 94–104%), 93% for EDTA plasma (n=10, range 86–104%) and 92% for Heparin plasma (n=10, range 88–101%). Linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, and a minimum 1:2 dilution with Sample Dilution Buffer is recommended for serum and plasma.

Components include a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilized standard, sample and antibody dilution buffers, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer and plate sealers. The kit is shipped at +4°C and components are stored at +4°C; they should not be used past expiration or subjected to freeze/thaw cycles.
