Mouse Visfatin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Visfatin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The 96-well microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Visfatin; standards and samples are added so that Visfatin binds to the immobilised capture antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Visfatin Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm and is proportional to the amount of Visfatin captured.

Reported sensitivity is <13.2 pg/ml with an assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Sample recovery was 80-102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81-99% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80-89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, linearity ranged from 74-108% depending on sample type. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
