Mouse Very Low Density Lipoprotein ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA), distributed by Antibodies.com, is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Very Low Density Lipoprotein (VLDL) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate format in which standards and samples are incubated with a VLDL-specific capture antibody, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-VLDL detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate. Signal is visualised using TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour whose intensity, read at 450 nm, is directly proportional to the VLDL concentration in each sample.

Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Sensitivity is reported as <0.120 ng/ml and the standard curve range is 0.313–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery was assessed in serum (n=5; range 80–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5; range 81–100%, average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5; range 80–89%, average 84%). Dilution linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across the same three matrices.

Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual.
