Mouse Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide ELISA Kit

A competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide (VIP) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips. During incubation, VIP present in samples or standards competes with immobilized VIP antigen for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-VIP antibody. Following washing and addition of an HRP-avidin conjugate, TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with yellow colour intensity inversely proportional to VIP concentration.

Sensitivity is reported as less than 2.26 pg/ml with an assay range of 7.81–500 pg/ml, and total assay time is approximately 2 hours 30 minutes. Recovery in serum is 80–102% (average 91%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%, n=5). The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers, with components stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.
