Mouse Vasn ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Vasorin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The 4 hour procedure uses a pre-coated microplate onto which Vasorin in standards and samples binds via an immobilized capture antibody. After washing, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Vasorin is added to form an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich complex. HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate are then added; the enzymatic reaction produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, is directly proportional to the concentration of Vasorin captured in each well, which is calculated by comparison with the standard curve.

The kit is reactive for mouse and specific for Vasorin, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. Validated sample types include healthy serum, plasma and mouse heart tissue homogenate, which should be diluted at least 1:2 in Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing. Recovery data report averages of 93% for serum (range 85%-105%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 87%-102%) and 99% for heparin plasma (range 92%-105%). Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and antibody dilution buffers, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer concentrate and plate sealers. The kit is shipped at +4°C; components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated in the protocol manual, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
