Mouse Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B (VEGFB) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format.

Quantitative detection is performed colorimetrically by reading optical density at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The reported product range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 31 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The sandwich immunoassay workflow uses a VEGFB-specific pre-coated capture antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-VEGFB detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with colour intensity proportional to VEGFB concentration. Spike-and-recovery validation in serum returned an average of 91% (range 80%-102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81%-100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80%-89%, n=5).
