Mouse Vanin 3 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Vanin 3 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Vanin 3. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Vanin 3 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-Vanin 3 antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is proportional to the amount of Vanin 3 captured in each well, and concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against a standard curve.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of <0.118 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate platform configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Validated recovery values across sample types include an average of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
