Mouse Utrophin ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Mouse Utrophin ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Utrophin in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids.

The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Utrophin is immobilised on the plate, and standards or test samples are added so that Utrophin is captured in each well. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Utrophin Antibody binds the captured target, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the Utrophin concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a sensitivity of 0.29 ng/ml and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/ml. Recovery in serum samples averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma averaged 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma averaged 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
