Mouse Uncoupling Protein 1, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Uncoupling Protein 1 (UCP1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an anti-UCP1 antibody pre-coated onto a microplate, a biotinylated anti-UCP1 detection antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm using a colourimetric microplate reader.

Reactive with mouse samples, the kit has a reported sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported recovery values are serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, average 90%, n=5), and heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, average 84%, n=5). Across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions, recovery ranged from 74% to 107% for serum, 79% to 108% for EDTA plasma, and 82% to 105% for heparin plasma.
