Mouse UDP Glucose Ceramide Glucosyltransferase ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Ceramide Glucosyltransferase in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: an antibody specific for Ceramide Glucosyltransferase is pre-coated onto the microplate wells, standards and test samples are added, and bound analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Ceramide Glucosyltransferase Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, stopped with acidic stop solution, and read as absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; the resulting yellow colour intensity is proportional to analyte concentration and is quantified against the standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a measuring range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.28 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 m. Reported spike-and-recovery averages across sample matrices are approximately 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma and 84% in heparin plasma, with linearity observed across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The detection method is colourimetric and the platform is a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

The assay is intended for use on mouse samples and is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates.
