Mouse Tumor Necrosis Factor Beta ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com enables quantitative in vitro determination of mouse LTA (Lymphotoxin-alpha / Tumor Necrosis Factor Beta) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate.

An antibody specific for LTA is immobilised on the plate. Standards and test samples are added; captured LTA is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-LTA Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is converted to a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and LTA concentration is calculated against a standard curve.

The standard curve spans 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.7 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Spiked recovery (n=5) averages 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
