The Antibodies.com Mouse Trypsinogen Activation Peptide ELISA Kit is a 48-test competitive immunoassay designed to quantify TAP released during trypsinogen activation. Trypsinogen activation peptide (TAP) is a short N-terminal cleavage product generated when pancreatic trypsinogen is converted to active trypsin. In murine models of acute pancreatitis, circulating TAP levels rise rapidly following zymogen activation, making quantitative measurement valuable for preclinical research into pancreatic inflammation and zymogen activation pathways.

The kit uses a competitive ELISA format with a microplate pre-coated with TAP conjugate. Each kit contains sufficient reagents for 48 determinations, including polyclonal anti-TAP antibody, TAP standard, HRP-conjugated detection reagent, substrate, stop solution, and wash buffer. Researchers typically use 50 µL of sample per well, and the assay protocol is straightforward for laboratory personnel with standard ELISA experience.

Intended for research use only and validated specifically for mouse reactivity, this kit supports in vitro investigations of pancreatic function and disease modeling. Its competitive design is particularly well-suited for detecting the small TAP fragments characteristic of trypsinogen activation events in vivo.
