Mouse Troponin I Type 2, Fast Skeletal ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Troponin I Fast Skeletal Muscle in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for the target pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Troponin I Fast Skeletal Muscle Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved using a TMB substrate, with the enzymatic reaction producing a coloured product that is quantified by measuring absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The stated sensitivity of the assay is <0.56 ng/ml, with a standard range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit is intended for use with a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported recovery values across sample types were: serum 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components are intended to be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. The platform is supplied as a pre-coated microplate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips.
