From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V, Member 2 (TRPV2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an immobilised antibody specific for TRPV2. Standards and samples are added to the wells, allowing TRPV2 to be captured, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-TRPV2 antibody and then an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit demonstrates a sensitivity of less than 0.049 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours and 30 minutes. Sample recovery and dilution linearity have been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers. Storage instructions call for components to be kept at +4°C or -20°C as appropriate, and the kit should not be used past the stated expiration date.
