Mouse Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich-format ELISA for the in vitro quantitative measurement of mouse Transforming Growth Factor Beta 1 (TGF beta 1). The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is validated for serum, platelet-poor plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

An antibody specific for TGF beta 1 is pre-coated onto the 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Standards and samples are added to the wells, and after incubation and washing, captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-TGF beta 1 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Colour development is achieved with TMB substrate followed by an acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The kit reports a measurement range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <12.7 pg/ml.

Spike-and-recovery testing returned 83-99% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 80-99% (average 89%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 82-99% (average 90%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity (1:2 to 1:16) ranged from 74-109% in serum (n=5), 78-110% in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 77-109% in heparin plasma (n=5).
