Description
From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative determination of mouse RANKL (also referred to as TNFSF11, CD254, ODF, OPGL, Osteoclast differentiation factor, Osteoprotegerin ligand, TRANCE, and Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 11) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for RANKL with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants and is completed in approximately 4 hours.
The kit uses a colorimetric detection method with absorbance measured at 450 nm, producing a colour change from blue to yellow that is directly proportional to the concentration of RANKL captured in each well. Standards and samples are added to antibody-coated wells, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate to form an antibody-antigen-antibody sandwich complex. The measurable range is 15.625–1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity below 9.375 pg/mL. Serum and plasma samples may affect test results and should be diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing, with validated dilutions including healthy serum (1:2) and 4T1 cell lysate (1:2). Sample validation showed average recoveries of 90% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma.
Kit components are shipped at +4°C and should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol manual, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles and not used past the expiration date.
