Mouse TNF-α ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse TNF-α in cell culture supernatant, serum and plasma. A monoclonal antibody specific for mouse TNF-α has been immobilized onto microwells; standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for TNF-α. After removal of unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added; a substrate solution then reacts with HRP and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNF-α bound by the immobilized antibody. The color development is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density is measured with a microplate reader.

The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity and can assay both native and recombinant mouse TNF-α. It is a quantitative colorimetric sandwich assay run on a microplate platform, with a product range of 15.63 - 1000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of 1.63 pg/ml, and an average recovery from serum samples of 99%. Components are stored at +4°C, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
