Mouse Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 4 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Tissue Inhibitors Of Metalloproteinase 4 (TIMP4) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for TIMP4. Standards and samples are added to the wells and TIMP4 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-TIMP4 Antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the TIMP4 concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The kit has a quantitative range of 78.1-5000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <32 pg/ml. The pre-coated microplate is supplied as 12 x 8 well strips and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Sample recovery has been reported at 80%-102% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 81%-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5), and 80%-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
