Mouse Thioredoxin Reductase 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Thioredoxin Reductase 1 (TXNRD1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

Wells of a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) are loaded with standards and samples; TXNRD1 is captured by an immobilised antibody, then detected with a Biotinylated Anti-TXNRD1 Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The reaction yields a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm with a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration derived from a standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Key specifications: assay range 0.156–10 ng/ml and sensitivity <0.059 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery yields for serum (n=5) range 80–102% (average 91%), for EDTA plasma (n=5) 81–100% (average 90%) and for heparin plasma (n=5) 80–89% (average 84%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions gives 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% in serum (n=5); 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% in heparin plasma (n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and must not be used after the stated expiration date.
