Mouse TGF beta 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse TGF beta 1 in cell culture supernatant, serum, and plasma. The kit can assay both native and recombinant mouse TGF-ß1 and has shown no significant cross-reactivity.

The assay uses a monoclonal antibody specific for mouse TGF-ß1 immobilized onto microwells. Standards or samples are pipetted into the wells, and TGF-ß1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After unbound substances are washed away, a biotin-linked monoclonal antibody specific for TGF-ß1 is added, followed by streptavidin-HRP. Substrate solution reacts with HRP and color develops in proportion to the amount of TGF-ß1 bound; the reaction is stopped by addition of acid and the optical density value is measured by microplate reader.

Quantitative figures reported by the manufacturer include a product range of 31.25 - 2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <3.36 pg/ml, and an average recovery of 99% from serum samples. The kit is intended for mouse reactivity, uses a colorimetric microplate detection format, and is stored at +4°C; it should not be used past the expiration date.
