Description

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse CD63 (also known as Tetraspanin 30) in plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: a CD63-specific antibody is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, standards and samples are added, captured CD63 is detected with a biotinylated anti-CD63 antibody, and an HRP-avidin conjugate with TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported sensitivity is <0.064 ng/ml with a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Spiked-sample recoveries averaged 91% in serum (range 83–100%, n=5), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 91–99%, n=5) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90–99%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2–1:16 showed recoveries of 78–104% in serum (n=5), 81–109% in EDTA plasma (n=5) and 74–105% in heparin plasma (n=5). The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, a lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
