Mouse Synuclein Alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse alpha Synuclein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (configured as 12 x 8 well strips) and follows the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique: standards and samples are captured by an immobilised antibody specific for alpha Synuclein, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-alpha Synuclein Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that converts to yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Reported performance includes a product range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <6.5 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery data across five replicates are reported for serum (80%-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%-89%, average 84%), and dilution linearity is assessed from 1:2 to 1:16.
