Mouse Surfactant Associated Protein A ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Surfactant Protein A (also referred to as Surfactant Associated Protein A / PSAP) in serum, plasma, lung lavage fluid, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate, with results read colorimetrically at 450 nm.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a measuring range of 3.12–200 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <1.45 pg/ml. Reported average recovery from spiked samples is 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Total assay time is 4 h 30 min and components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed.

The principle employs an immobilised capture antibody, a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP–avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a yellow colour proportional to the amount of analyte captured in each well. Sample dilution linearity has been characterised from 1:2 to 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
