Antibodies.com provides this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse SOCS3 (Suppressors Of Cytokine Signaling 3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit uses a pre-coated microplate format. An antibody specific for SOCS3 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-SOCS3 detection antibody, HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml and a standard range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Sample recovery has been validated in serum (80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%) at n=5.
