Mouse Superoxide Dismutase 3, Extracellular ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Superoxide Dismutase 3/EC-SOD in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with mouse samples, with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate arranged in 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for the target immobilised on the plate surface. Standards and samples are added and the captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-target antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue-coloured product that converts to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution; absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the analyte concentration and is read against a standard curve.

The manufacturer's stated product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery ranges and averages are: serum (n=5) 80%–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%–100%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) 80%–89%, average 84%. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
