Mouse Substance P ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Substance P in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a colourimetric readout measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader. During incubation, Substance P in samples or standards competes with immobilised Substance P for binding sites on a biotinylated anti-Substance P antibody; bound antibody is then detected with an HRP–avidin conjugate and visualised using TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose intensity is inversely proportional to Substance P concentration. Total assay time is 2 h 30 min, the stated working range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml, and the stated sensitivity is <4.21 pg/ml.

Provided components include lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80-102% for serum (average 91%), 81-99% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%), with reported linearity for serum at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% respectively.
