Mouse Steroid 5 Alpha Reductase 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse SRD5A1 (Steroid 5 Alpha Reductase 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological fluids [C0][S1]. It uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with antibody specific for SRD5A1, following the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Standards and samples are added to the wells, captured SRD5A1 is detected with a biotinylated anti-SRD5A1 antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate, and signal is developed with TMB substrate, then read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader [S1].

Reactivity is specific to mouse samples [C0][S1]. The standard curve covers 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.048 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes [S1]. The plate is supplied as 12 x 8 well strips [S1].

Kit components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers [S1]. Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 81-101%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%) [S1].
