Mouse Spondin 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of mouse SPON2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for SPON2. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-SPON2 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate is added; the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. SPON2 concentration is determined by reference to a standard curve.

The kit has a reported sensitivity of <0.069 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been evaluated across three sample types: serum (average 91%, range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 81–100%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 84%, range 80–89%, n=5).

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
