Mouse Slit Homolog 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Slit1 (Slit Homolog 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Slit1 pre-coated onto the wells of a microplate. Standards and samples are added, followed by incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Slit1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450nm in a microplate reader and the Slit1 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 0.057 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml. Colorimetric detection is performed on a pre-coated microplate, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spiked recovery in serum averaged 92% (range 82-102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 94% (range 91-98%, n=5) and in heparin plasma 93% (range 86-101%, n=5).
