Mouse Sirtuin 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. It is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. The assay employs a biotinylated anti-SIRT1 detection antibody with an HRP-avidin conjugate, and the enzymatic reaction is visualised using TMB substrate, yielding a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. SIRT1 concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.055 ng/ml and the assay range spans 0.156-10 ng/ml. The full protocol takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%), with dilutional linearity demonstrated for all three matrices at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
